Hours ahead of its release, Aipate is thrilled to premiere the video for Scottish singer/songwriter Tommy Ashby‘s video, “Apollo (New Love)”. The song sits as the first track on the UK artist’s latest EP Golden Arrow. The project had arrived on Wow and Flutter Records (in liaison with Absolute Label Services). Over a gripping electro-pop track produced by Sam Okell, the singer delivers a heartwarming piece. He sings:

Like people see Jesus in the clouds/
Like lovers see lovers in the crowd/
You’ll always be what I see now/

The Fraser Taylor-directed clip was filmed on a warm evening in London’s Hackney and it captures a couple enjoying the moment.

“The video perfectly pulls onto focus the minutia of a couple and how they interact with each other, you want to keep watching and see where the journey takes you. The song was inspired by one particular night, I had been to a gig at Brixton Academy and much of the song describes what we experienced on the way home” ~ Tommy
