Singer Crystal Douesnard and guitarist, bassist and producer Thomas Moore make up the alt-pop project Marney. After spending time writing and recording their debut EP titled Feelings, the Los Angeles-based duo can now begin the process of rolling it out.

Out today 28th Feb is “Conversations”, the first release and a hint of what to expect going forward. The song is kind of dark lyrically; it tackles that misleading mental voice that keeps us overly critical of ourselves. Says Marney: “‘Conversations’ focuses on the anxieties that come from listening to our inner voice. We all try to hide parts of ourselves that we don’t think others will like, and we start questioning everything about ourselves in order to fit the norm.“
