Our artist spotlight is this time trained on BAD2YOU, a Malawian hip-hop artist hailing from the city of Lilongwe. The emcee, who is a member of OD In Your City, has an album titled Zenith: Circa 20/20 in the works. To get an idea of what to expect from the project – and his rap style in general – here is his new song “Michelin Morphine”.

Produced by Frankie M, the song sounds interestingly unique. The rapper’s innovative and atypical cadence meets a laidback hiphop beat. “Michelin Morphine” captures BAD2YOU skillfully discussing drugs/addiction (Zenith is a concept album that delves into human vices).
