With the 2016 album Naked being Darey‘s last official release, the Nigerian artist recently marked his return to the scene with a new single, “Jah Guide Me”. The inspirational song explores the value of hope in such difficult times.

“The song comes at a critical period in our humanity where we have been reminded of just how fleeting life is and how supplication, prayer, spirituality, and the belief in a higher power often sees us asking for guidance as we navigate these tough times,” explains Darey.

Arriving alongside the track is a colorful video whose style has hints of ‘Afrofuturism’. Musically, “Jah Guide Me” is an enticing R&B-Afropop hybrid, with a lovely brass section and awesome percussion spicing its instrumentation.
