Singer-songwriter and producer Brian Fennell, professionally known as SYML, will be unveiling an EP titled DIM on April 16 via Nettwerk. His latest single “Stay Close” moves him a step closer to that upcoming release. Generally, this is an immaculate piece of indie/electropop track. SYML‘s vocal ability is once again on the showcase as the artist vulnerably draws us into his world.

“This is a personal song,” he says. “My father has been slowly dying of pancreatic cancer for almost two years. It’s certainly about grief, but it’s also about a love so deep, it runs from our first breath until our last. It covers every experience we’ll ever have, and it goes beyond us when we leave this place. It’s almost supernatural but I know it to be real because I can sense it fully.”

The track was accompanied by an emotionally gripping music video.
