German singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist lùisa‘s upcoming third album New Woman (due May 7) is slowly developing into a serious body of work. “Come Around”, released on March 26, is the latest single taken off it. It follows another great piece in the form of the title-track, “New Woman”. Both songs are impassioned, with the artist’s strong and distinct vocals being on the showcase.

“Come Around” is upbeat, retro-flavoured and heartwarming. lùisa explains, “‘Come Around’ is about coming out of your shell, after a long time of isolation and pain. It’s about slowly finding trust in life again after setbacks and traumatic events that had changed your sense of basic trust. Musically, it feels like a sunny spring day, which makes sense for the topic.”
