Akinbi Bamidele Brett, or Cheque as he’s popularly known, is an exciting addition to the Nigerian music scene. The 26-year-old rapper and singer achieved success last year with “Zoom”, a song whose remix saw him joined by Wale and Davido.

His newest single “History” paired Cheque with Fireboy DML. The R&B-inflected track combines hip-hop beats with amazing Afro-pop melodies. Next to it arrived a lovely visual. Watch it above via YouTube.
