Once in a while, you stumble on an artist who completely blows your mind. That’s the feeling that accompanied my first listen of Trinidadian artist Osei The Seventh‘s latest single, “Café Deluxe”.

It’s brilliant how the 23-year-old turned vulnerability and loneliness into a catchy, lighthearted indie-pop gem. Admitting to being overly affected by emotions, “Café Deluxe” finds Osei figuratively opening up about his feelings to a coffee cup. And, like the coffee he is sipping, his vocals and guitar melodies are equally as warm.
