Canadian R&B singer-songwriter Mighloe did release her new EP, Desperate Times on June 1. The project’s seven tracks were all produced by Dean Vision and LateNightDrive. For Mighloe, this was another opportunity to showcase her undeniably powerful voice and songwriting abilities. Desperate Times details how both sorrow and triumph make up our existence.

Focus track “Crush” came paired with an equally intimate visual. About the song, Mighloe comments: “‘Cruel’ is my empowerment. It is a reminder of who I once was; Broken. And of the strength it took to put myself back together. The resilience. I am better now. I am free. I am powerful. Your cruelness will never again take a toll on me.”
