Breagh Isabel is a Canadian singer/songwriter and producer who made her debut last month. The Cape Breton Island-born, Halifax-based artist’s first single is called “Girlfriends” and it’s an elegant pop track.

She wrote this intriguing piece with Simon Wilcox. “It’s a bit of a sad song wrapped up in a happy-sounding package. The lyrics don’t really tell a hopeful story,” Isabel reveals. “The resolution comes from the fact that I can own the experience and re-tell it from a place of happiness.”

As a release, “Girlfriends” marks the beginning of her recording deal with Warner Music Canada. Watch the video and follow Breagh Isabel on Instagram.
