Music by London-based artist and producer Laura Misch has an ethereal yet earthly feel. Listeners will get a full serving of it on 13th October when her long-awaited debut album, Sample The Sky, is expected to be released.
Laura recently shared a single called “Hide To Seek”. Built around organic electronic instrumentation and soft sax melodies, this song feels atmospheric and soothing. “Hide To Seek” does incorporate sounds captured inside of trees (recorded using geophones by sound designer and composer James Bulley).
“The kind of elemental scope of the album really does expand between the earth and the sky,” says the musician. “The track is about desire and wanting someone to draw out parts of yourself that you’re hiding and how we’re all shaped by this interplay. The forest undergrowth feels like a perfect metaphor for the subconscious mind, and it’s a charged song. I imagined these mycelial threads leading the listener into the album world.”
Listen to the song and follow Laura Misch on Instagram, so as to receive future updates, especially those regarding the upcoming album.
