Being the inaugural winner of the Songland songwriting competition, JT Roach was able to showcase his talent to a worldwide audience. Now, the singer-songwriter has embarked on a journey towards his debut album, Death As A Lover.

First single “Dissolve” is a solemn piece that involves the fusion of acoustic indie-folk and electronica.

About it, JT Roach says, “This song is about drowning, as I had two scares with drowning when I was young. I wrote and recorded this song myself in Silverlake, California at my home studio. I used a Taylor classical acoustic for the main acoustics, and a JUNO 06A synthesizer for the synth layers.“

The second single arrives later this month.
