Abandoned as a teenager, it was a tough, lonely journey for German singer-songwriter Just Honest. Out now, his debut album No Love No Hate is a coming-of-age story.

Final single “I had no parents” is an emotionally raw piece which the artist says he wrote at a time when he felt depressed. He filmed a music video to accompany this track.

This is because I realized that ever since I was 13 — I had to work, having no one to rely on. Grinding and grinding, and never stopping can take such a huge toll on you. Sometimes all I want is just go to some house, get some hugs and some unconditional love. But this is the luxury not everyone has. It’s like a part of you is missing which is responsible for love, and life. Cause there is reason why kids are born helpless… And this reason? Well, it’s now in this song,” he remarks.
