In case you haven’t heard any song by Australian indie artist Imogen Clark, you definitely should. A good place to start is her newest track: an indie rock track named “If I Want In”.

An artist who cut her teeth playing night gigs at some Sydney bars, she has blossomed into an amazing performer. This is evident on “If I Want In”, a song inspired by her Western Sydney roots, and details the path to her music career.

She explains, “I always dreamed of running away into the big wide world; the London of the Jam, the California of Joni Mitchell, the New Jersey of Bruce Springsteen. This song is about knowing my hometown made me who I am, but it made me a person who had to leave it to realise her dreams.

The first single lifted from her forthcoming 2024 album, it is a great way to kickstart the rollout. “If I Want In” was released in the company of a lovely music video.
