IkeN – “Divine Intervention”
Just like he’d announced, Kenyan artist IkeN released his new album Galatea last Friday. This project was preceded by the single, “Miss Me“. The whole album is seven tracks long, and includes the new track “Divine Intervention”. About this song, IkeN remarks, “‘Divine Intervention’ is supposed to be the main climax point of this album. All the confusion, longing, and ultimately desperation is pooled and communicated with this final ‘plea’ to Galatea. Every element I placed in this song was meant to create and communicate a sense of tension and power – the synths are literally crackling with energy, the 808’s bring a sense of might to the divine being that this song is directed towards.”
