While sharing Adanna Duru‘s “if I was a boy 😉”, we mentioned that the single was taken from an upcoming EP that the former Idol contestant would be unveiling soon.

Well, she did release the 6-track project last Friday. It is titled NAPPY HOUR II and was released via MNRK Records.

The EP arrived alongside the soulful track, “The Way”. While the songs are upbeat, this one is relatively moodier.

Duru’s genre-defying approach is showcased on this EP, a project that also brings to the fore her creativity maturity.

“I want to inspire people to love their uniqueness,” remarks Adanna. “That’s why I can’t get away from the phrase NAPPY HOUR. I am celebrating my uniqueness. I always find myself in a blend of pop, R&B, afrobeats, & contemporary/ singer-songwriter. I’d rather not limit myself because I love so many different things. I am the through line.”
