He was 2016’s biggest act in Kenyan pop scene. He won 2017 Mdundo awards as top downloaded Hip Hop artist though this has brought controversy considering that he’s not a Hip Hop musician, just a rapper..
2. Phy
Phy won the first season of the Maisha Super Star TV series with contestants drawn across 3 countries. She was also the runner up for Airtel Music Star .The winner of 1.2 Million shillings and Record deal valued at 3.5 Million Shillings. She has an album out; its called Phylosophy.
3. Dj Leqs
He is one of the Dj at Kaka Empire.
4. Femi One
Femi One was intoduced through the Ligii Soo remix and since then she has grown to amass a large following. In 2016, she was involved in a beff with fellow female rapper Njeri.
5. King Kaka
Founder of Kaka empire, King Kaka is a rapper and musician who is more know for his smooth spoken word poetry fused with Hip Hop. He has compiled a couple of official albums and so many records.
6. Owago Onyiro
The comedian is one of the most sought after Mcs at the moment.
7. Avril
Avril is a Kenyan singer who is widely known for her “chokoza” colabo with Marya.
