The Tetemesha Awards went down last weekend and Nairobi artist Ali Bex is one of the artists who won. (We are yet to receive the official results, so we can’t really verify the award he won).
That notwithstanding, the artist was so much displeased at the lack of professionalism of the organisers that he decided to blast them on Facebook.
The awards, as per his post, proceeded even with many categories missing, and no artist performing, while the certificates were hand-written, raising serious credibility issues. Worse still, some artists seem to have already known the winners.

“Thanks to all who voted for me and yes we won.
But some things must be made clear.
1⃣How can an award show start from mwanzo till mwisho and not even a single song for any nominee got played
2⃣Being given awards on paper certificates written with a biro-pen with unreadable handwritting as if it was a music festival
3⃣Which awards doesnt have the male and female artists of the year
4⃣Which award omitts categories of nominated artists (some even travelling from mombasa for the award) then the awards show ends without their category being mentioned
5⃣No artist perfomance during the entire time
6⃣The management itself of the awards show omitting & not attending their own show>>>instead putting in place an MC who later awarded himself an award,,coz it was a matter of taking a pen,writting your name on the paper certificate and calling out your name as the winner,and telling people to clap for you …
7⃣Artists sharing a win in the same category
8⃣Some artists even jumping up & down telling you the people who will win in respective categories including his win in his category even b4 the event got started,,meaning the awards boss choose those he knew to win .
9⃣Using a generator to run a whole event and the fuel gets over just 30 mins when the event got started ,
🔟9/10 awarded artists are gospel artists out of a majority of secular artists whose categories were omitted
1⃣1⃣Hosting the event in an interior ghetto suburb church and artists getting robbed off after the show by thieves….even after a reknown club offering you a chance to host in their club,,a much safer & better place ..but coz you guys knew how it was supposed to go down ,you decided to play along with your scam.
Okay so To all the organizers of Tetemesha awards THIS WAS A FLOP!
Coz you got people fucked up.
Artists urged their fans to use money and vote for them,,then the artists turn up to the event only for the event to end without the artists categories being mentioned.
