Orange Democratic Party (ODM) became the first party to pay the Ksh 400,000 Licence fee that is required by Kenya Association of Music Producers (KAMP) and Performers Rights Society of Kenya (PRiSK). The cheque was presented by the party leader and its presidential candidate, Raila Odinga during the Adopt-A-Polling-Station launch.
All candidates who’d like to use music for their campaigns are required to pay some fee — governors are paying Ksh. 150,000, senators Ksh. 100,000 and Members of Parliament Ksh. 50,000.
Below is the associations’ official notice.
