
Sol has released the official video for his latest single “If You Don’t Call. The Haitian-American rapper is based in the city of Seattle. The video was shot in Portland and directed by Noah Porter.
“For me, this video is one part nostalgia and one part comedy. It’s a nostalgic reference to my favorite era of music videos (late 80’s/early 90’s) as well as nostalgia for all my lost lovers. They say comedy is tragedy plus time, and I would say this video is a result of that combination. I wrote dozens of songs about heartbreak but only after real time had passed could I make a song and video like ‘If You Don’t Call’.” ~Sol
He is working on an album whose release date is yet to be announced, though.
