Something exciting has been readied for the indie-pop fans and it’s “City”, the debut single by Jayani. The singer/songwriter whose real name is Max Patel is an 18-year-old, half-Indian, half American artist. He was, however, born and raised in Hong Kong. He is currently a student at Choate Rosemary Hall where he gets time to perform within the campus and its environs.

“There were two moments during the writing process of “City” that I remember vividly. In one, I was sitting on the edge of a rooftop in Hong Kong with some close friends… we sat there talking about the way the city somehow seemed to find a naturally place in its surrounding tropical landscape.” ~ Jayani
