Brooklyn-based, Israeli artist O Mer has released “Anthem”. The song follows up his April 2018, Refugee EP and is a politically-charged piece. The artist had relocated to the US from Tel Aviv and is a multi-genre composer, singer/songwriter and producer. He also plays the guitar. “Anthem” is a melodic track that O Mer says:
“As a musician I always had a hard time working inside one genre. I don’t see a big difference between electronic music, Middle-Eastern music and soul. Genres and ideas need to be allowed to be mixed and matched freely, that’s how they evolve…“
The song looks into the desire for individuality that, he says, exists artistically and in the political setting.
