As they work on their forthcoming new LP titled Santa Barbara, After Funk shares a new track which is indicative of what a fan should expect from the album. The song is “Face In The Crowd” and is a truly sublime piece of art. It infuses element of soul into its funky and groovy foundation. It points to the creative direction that the band (bassist Justin Bontje, guitarist Phil Tessis, drummer Jaime Rosenberg and vocalist keyboardist Yanick Allwood) takes with the album.

The song was produced by Jeff Hazin and mixed by Gabe Gallucci. Others credited on the album include: vocalists Kyla Charter, Stacey Kay and James Bailey; bassist clarinetist Jacob Gorzhaltsan; tenor saxophonist Julian Nalli; trumpeter Tom Moffett; flautist and alto saxophonist Rob Christian, and Cuban percussionist Rosendo “Chendy” Leon.
