While sharing Afterfunk‘s “Face In The Crowd” single, we indicated that the Canadian outfit was working on an album, Santa Barbara. Today, we further stress this by sharing “The Mess We’ve Become”, another song off the upcoming LP, a project that carries a fusion of funk, soul, R&B, disco and Latin flavours. Individually considered, “The Mess We’ve Become” is a vibey, soulful piece that showcases the singer’s stretched vocals and inspired compositions.

The album is now available for pre-orders via the band’s website. Afterfunk consists of bassist Justin Bontje, guitarist Phil Tessis, drummer Jaime Rosenberg and vocalist keyboardist Yanick Allwood.
