Marlene Oak‘s new single, “In The Evening” is a stripped-down piece that allows the Swedish singer/songwriter to captivate us with her powerful vocals. The Stockholm native is recognizable by her heartfelt compositions and, on this, she tackles love and the chaos that sometimes comes with it. Still, there is a shade of hope that emanates from this gripping ballad, at least, considering Marlene’s chilling appeal.

When I recorded ‘In The Evening’, I wanted to record everything on one take – without a click. And that’s what I did. I aimed for keeping the same feeling to the song as I had when I wrote it, and I wanted to sing the words as if they were my last.” ~ Marlene Oak.

This song follows up “Slip Away”, Oak’s previous record.
