Marlene Oak‘s Silver Moon EP is finally out on all streaming platforms. The new project is a collection of the Swedish singer/songwriter’s latest tracks. Spanning 5 beautiful indie-pop songs, the EP was inspired by Marlene’s life, emotions, relationships and experiences. It includes previously shared songs “In The Evening” and “Come Home“, a melancholic title track and two other songs.

“Before I wrote the title track ‘Silver Moon’, I listened to Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Ella Jenkins, and Leadbelly a lot. You can hear the pain in their voices and there’s a certain darkness to the words that they sing. That’s the feeling that I wanted to convey in ‘Silver Moon’”, Marlene Oak says.

The artist got three adept guitarists to play on the EP, injecting a melodic and atmospheric feel throughout the project. Silver Moon is available entirely below.
