UK singer/songwriter Dyo (birth name Dayo Olatunji) makes her debut as an artist with the single “Arena”. The song’s Jolade Olusanya-directed music video brings out her queenly image, something that, in a way, is symbolic of the fact that she’s stepping away from the writer’s desk – as a songwriter, she has penned hits for Maroon 5, Fifth Harmony, Iggy Azalea, among others.

“Arena” is a smooth, down-tempo and jazzy Afrobeat tune that was produced by Jay Weathers. It carries a Mr. Eazi vibe, with a groovy and percussive feel, complementing her soulful vocals.

I’m super pumped and ready to release all of this music that I’ve been holding on to for so long. ‘Arena’ is just the beginning, as I’ve been focusing on putting together an EP. The experience has been a welcome and exciting change as I had gotten so used to writing for others, and now I’m able to use my own voice for my own music.” ~ Dyo
