British rap duo Krept & Konan‘s latest release “Ban Drill” is a powerful song which they’ve accompanied with a short film directed by Rapman. This piece arrives against the backdrop of an onslaught on drill music, a form of rap music originating from the Chicago scene and one which has been criticized by some as a promoter of violent crimes. With the video as a backup to the lyrics, Krept & Konan have shared a typical background story that seemingly draws young, underprivileged youth towards rap as an escape route away from their circumstances.
Produced by AdotSkitz, “Ban Drill”, is the first leak off the duo’s upcoming second studio album.
“We wrote ‘Ban Drill’ to explain a serious reality that many artists have to face. We knew Rapman was the perfect person to paint this picture for us with a short film in the way we needed to get our message across.” – Krept and Konan
