Candice Sand fires back with the anthemic “I Get Up”

When you find yourself not being properly appreciated within an environment, it’s wise to rethink your presence there. With that in mind, Toronto singer-songwriter Candice Sand got to create an anthem for female empowerment. Written alongside Sony ATV producer Rob Wells, “I Get Up” is an expression of strength and solidarity. Candice sings of making the decision to not take such anymore.

“I Get Up” was inspired by her experiences of being a woman in the music industry. Listen.
