“Black Savage” is the latest single by Detroit lyricist Royce Da 5’9″. Featuring Sy Ari Da Kid, T.I, CyHi The Prynce and White Gold, the song marks Royce’s debut as a beat maker/producer/arranger. Interestingly, the late Kenyan nyatiti maestro Ayub Ogada‘s classic hit “Koth Biro” is heavily used as a sample, with its spellbinding ‘hah haye aye‘ refrain chorally looped throughout the track.

“Black Savage” is one of the tracks picked as part of Jay-Z and NFL’s ‘Inspire Change Initiative’ .
