With the release of the single “Give It Up”, Lo Village can now declare that their new EP, It Takes A Village, is officially out. We’d previously shared the project’s first single “NERD“, a song that introduced us to the alternative-leaning, R&B/hip-hop trio from Gaithersburg, Maryland. 6 tracks long, It Takes A Village includes other songs like “Richie Rich” and “For The Children”. Carrying the outfit’s signature lush instrumentation, thoughtful lyrics and smooth vocal delivery, “Give It Up”, for example, is generally a sublime piece.
Lo Village is made up of rappers Kane and Charles Tyler and singer Ama. About the EP, they say: “‘It Takes a Village’ is the tale of three hometown heroes representing for their people and community. We wanted to put on for the people and places that make us us.”
