Philadelphia native Joe Kenney already has his vision on his forthcoming fourth album. “Another Side”, which is the first of the ten tracks, features vocals of Joy Ike. The music involves a piano-led soulful jazz-fusion instrumentation, with additional horn sounds. The singer’s honeyed vocals complements the heartwarming and uplifting composition.

The therapeutic lyrics is a reminder to keep hope and always hold the belief that there’s some light at the end of whichever long dark tunnel you find yourself in. Kenney says he wrote “Another Side” at a time when he contemplated suicide.

The musicians who played on the track include: Joe Kenney (lyrics/piano), Joy Ike (vocals), Ethan Stauffer (guitar), Warren Mobley (bass), Lenny Mobley (drums), Mike Talento (sax), Nolan Wible (trumpet) and Mike Kaplan (trombone).
