From the title, “We’re All Gonna Die Anyway” by Canadian singer-songwriter Devan (a member of the band Wild Rivers) sounds like a gloomy, pessimistic song. Well, in part, it is. However, beyond the apocalyptic sentiments, the song urges us to hastily remove the barriers that prevent us from telling people how we really feel.

“We’re All Gonna Die Anyway” is a not your typical love song but so is the sound. The track carries a unique blend of R&B and indie-pop. Such is the creativity that Devan is capable of.
