Ape Drums, Silent Addy and Projexx present “Mek Money” visuals

Ape Drums (a member of Major Lazer) has teamed up with fellow DJ/producer Silent Addy and Jamaican artist Projexx for a new banger, “Mek Money”. The trap-infused dancehall track is lifted from an EP that Ape will be releasing via Mad Decent.

“Mek Money” is an urban dancefloor-filler, with Projexx’s raunchy and gritty lyricism particularly animating. Alongside it is the music video filmed in Ochos Rios, Jamaica by director Disco Neil.

Addy and I have been trying to make a record that represents all of what we do and what we believe in musically,” Ape Drums says. “‘Mek Money’ does that perfectly, especially with Projexx. Him being from Jamaica, it was only right we shot the music video there. We directed and shot the whole thing ourselves and we’re super proud of how it came out. The idea was to have it be half recap of the trip & half music video, and I hope everyone will enjoy.
