Sara Diamond‘s music has always existed fluidly on the R&B-pop scale. Now, the Montreal singer/songwriter is diving deeper into R&B, with her latest single “Say My Name Again” perfectly encapsulating that shift.
Accompanied by a gripping visual directed by Justin Miller, the song captures a devastated Sara pouring her heart out about an impending breakup. She explains the lyrics: “I went through a messy breakup where it felt like my world was turned upside down. Our original intentions regarding the relationship went up in flames; where we started off wanting to stay in each other’s lives, we ended up at the opposite end, eliminating space for each other completely. This song is a final cry, literally pleading for a do over.”
