Helsinki-Cotonou Ensemble is the inter-continental band connecting the countries of Finland (Northern Europe) and Benin (West Africa) musically and culturally. Formed about 10 years ago, the outfit has enchanted fans with their wonderful albums, with their latest one out now. Self-titled and nine tracks long, Helsinki-Cotonou Ensemble is the group’s fifth LP.
Highlighted above is the song “Min He Mon Ébgé – The One Who Sees Today”, which sits as the first track on the album. It’s a fetching song that reminds us of the value of taking care of one’s craft and general well-being because no one knows what tomorrow brings.
