Indian-American singer/songwriter Shuba did channel her ‘inner baddie’ in the arresting visual for her latest single, “Indian Summer”. The sensual and vibey R&B/pop feels so refreshing, with the production infusing hip-hop elements which allow the artist to showcase her rap skills. “Indian Summer” is anthemic — both musically and lyrically.

Speaking about the song, the Los Angeles-based TikTok sensation says, “I spent a lot of my life thinking my sensuality was a secret that I needed to cover up so that I wouldn’t be shaming my culture, but I’ve realized that being virtuous and liberated don’t have to be mutually exclusive. I’m brown and yes, I’m a baddie.”
