Nashville-based artist/producer Boon thrives on experimentation. The 18-year-old melds together various styles and elements, making music which is nothing short of infectious.
His newest offering “Somebody Else”, for instance, combines an indie guitar with thumping trap beats. The result is an upbeat yet thought-provoking indie-electro pop number. The first lyric on the chorus, ‘girl you know I’m toxic like what you’re smoking‘, encapsulates the song’s dark vibe.
Boon notes, “I love the irony of having an anthem about being a horrible person and telling your significant other they could do better.”
