Japanese music project Tokimeki Records‘ love story with nostalgia-inducing retro sounds continues. A couple of weeks ago, the outfit released a modern, disco-pop rework of The Cardigans’ ’90s hit, “Carnival”.

For this one, Tokimeki Records’ Yutaka Takanami enlisted 20-year-old Filipina singer-songwriter syd hartha for vocal duty. The result is a truly enjoyable song.
