Lagos-raised Nigerian singer-songwriter Solana has been honing her craft for the past few years. Her 2020 collaboration with Joeboy (“Far Away“) helped propel her towards national limelight.

Solana’s brand of Afrobeats borrows influences from pop and R&B. That versatility is illustrated on her latest release, a double-single titled Badder/On My Way.

While “Badder” (featuring Killertunes) is an upbeat pop-inflected tune, “On My Way” with Victony is more mellow. Whichever the style, Solana’s vocal abilities are highlighted.
