Ahead of her upcoming Crush EP which is expected to be drop on October 28, American alt-pop/rock artist Sam Valdez delivered “Charlie”. This brooding song arrived with a gloomy visual next to it.

“Charlie” is carried in an evocative soundscape. A first-time listener gets a great taste of Sam’s signature style, which is a blend of lo-fi indie rock and shoegaze.

“‘Charlie’ is a close talk to a friend that is struggling. Itʼs wondering what role you have played in it and not knowing the right thing to say or do to break them out of it. There is frustration and anger but also a lot of love in this song,” Sam says.

The music video was directed by Naz Massaro.
