Gileah Taylor, an American indie-folk singer-songwriter hailing from North Florida, has a beautiful new album that I’d recommend you listen to. The 10-track LP is titled Slow Parade and was released via Velvet Blue Music.

I only learnt about this album last Friday when I heard “Sweetness Surrounding”, which happens to be the focus track. “Sweetness Surrounding” is a song about putting on a happy face while feeling sad and lost.

“I felt lost and wanted to be by myself, to a scary point,” says opens up. “I recognized where I was and decided to make a change. I took steps to feel better, like taking morning walks, choosing the good things around me, and listening to the birds.”

This whole album is worth listening to. You will be wowed by the singer’s lyrical honesty and calming delivery.
