I can’t believe that it’s already three years since I last wrote a piece on Fionn. At that time, the Canadian twin-sisters duo, Alanna and Brianne, had just unveiled their 80s-inspired Candid Constellations EP, which went on to be a success.

Fionn are now back with a brand new single called “Bad at Being Casual”. The 604 Records signees are working on a new EP, this one being the second single. They enlisted Max Cunningham as audio producer.

“Bad at Being Casual” finds them continuing their current sonic style. It is an energetic pop-rock song delving into the relationships of the twenty-somethings.

“‘Bad at being Casual’ navigates the all too common ‘situationship’. We wrote it for those who can’t help but eagerly dive headfirst into relationships. The confusing nature of casual dating can leave our heads spinning and our hearts in our hands. This song highlights the internal chaos resulting from presenting a cool exterior, while dying on the inside,” Fionn explain.

I’m glad I got to listen to another release from the duo. This song will further heighten the anticipation for the upcoming EP.
