The latest single from US-based Singaporean artist Paper Citizen (a.k.a. Claire Ghost) is a catchy ode to the country in which she was raised. “American Song” is deeply heartfelt.

Paper Citizen, who is based in Los Angeles, explains: “I got my start in music by playing covers in the bars, clubs and restaurants before we got to the shows, festivals and western countries. We’d take song requests from locals and tourists alike, most of them were top 40 tunes from America. My journey with music has taken me far away from what was, and I think of those times so fondly, through singing, tears and beers. This is my ode to America ~ for all the things you and I can disagree on, I think we can agree that America has some of the best music in the world.

Released at the end of June, “American Song” arrived alongside an awesome visual. The music video is qso heartwarming, perfectly complementing the vibe of this pop/rock track.
