Citizen Los Angeles-based Singaporean singer-songwriter and producer Claire Ghost (also known as Paper Citizen) released a beautiful new song last month.

A melodious indie-pop/rock piece, the song is called “Goodbye”.

Speaking about it, the artist revealed, “Amidst exploring new frontiers with alternative pop, ‘Goodbye’ is a song about running towards something you cannot control. it’s the flame sparked in a haste, the explosion you couldn’t contain, shattering the walls you carefully built and consuming you in all your being. even if fleeting and temporary, burning twice as bright and half as long, perhaps these choices reminded you of why you were alive. can we still move through the experience, consciously looking back at the ashes with love and grace?”

Her debut EP, Postcards in Transit, arrived in 2016. It was followed by 2018’s Distraction, and later Wandering Ghost.
