Over the last couple of years, JESSIA has been one of the fastest rising pop singers. The Los Angles-based Canadian artist continues her ascent with “I’m Not Gonna Cry”, an anthemic new single which follows her successful headline tour of the US and Canada.

“I’m Not Gonna Cry” speaks on resilience. Commenting on the brand new electro pop record, the Vancouver native says, “This song is about the will to keep showing up for yourself, even when life gets tough. It’s choosing to celebrate the good things instead of dwelling on the negative. I want it to pick the listener up, dust them off, and get them ready for their busy day or their girls’ night out.

She enlisted producer Jason Parris whose vibrant production complements the message of the song nicely. I’d say “I’m Not Gonna Cry” shares a similar uplifting vibe with “On My Way Up” by Tishmal.

Give the new song a listen, and don’t forget to follow JESSIA on Instagram.
