After a few years in the corporate world, New York-born Marlee Vox got to launch her music career recently.

Released on January 24th, the first single from the Tulsa-based American singer-songwriter is called “I’m Okay”. Stylistically, it fits into the ‘neo-soul’ and ‘alt-R&B’ categories, and hints at Marlee’s various influence, from R&B and soul to jazz and bossa nova.

“I’m Okay” is groovy and totally bewitching. Lyrically, it is about letting vulnerability show — you don’t always have to say “I’m fine”. It’s simply a beautiful song, a soothing listen.

I’ll definitely be keeping tabs on Marlee Vox. You too can connect with her on Instagram, or other social media platforms.
