Burgeoning Iraqi-New Zealand artist-producer Mikeyy has been causing ripples in the dance music scene, thanks in part to his use of his own vocals to create totally engaging electronic tunes.

With the Auckland-based musician having just released his debut EP titled breathe (via the label NIGHTMODE), his momentum can only rise.

About the EP, it is a 4-song mini collection that includes the lead single “lift”, and the previously released title-track. The two new songs which arrived with the project are “heal” and “changes”.

Focusing on “heal”, it is a drum & bass-influenced song combining raw hip-hop verses with vulnerable hooks. It’s both musically vibrant and emotionally stirring, a sign that most listeners will find it captivating.

Anyways, give the whole EP a listen. Remember to follow Mikeyy on Instagram so as to receive prompt updates regarding his next move.
