The second single taken from UK songwriter Lyves‘ upcoming EP, Out of the Blue, which is scheduled for release this coming summer, is a truly exceptional piece. “For Eden” tackles mental health, blending moving lyrics with delicate production to create a truly stirring listening experience.

Lyves co-produced the song with Sam Crowe, lacing it with elements of dream-pop, folk and, of course, her soulful sensibilities. The songwriting is simply masterful.

Lyves shares, “Before becoming a full-time musician, I spent many years advocating for mental health, working in psychiatric hospitals across the UK to amplify the voices of those facing mental health challenges. It’s a cause close to my heart and a message that feels especially vital in today’s world. I took risks in creating this music, sharing deeply personal experiences. This feels like a turning point in my songwriting, and I’m incredibly proud of the outcome“.

I will definitely be on the lookout for the upcoming EP. Consider following Lyves on Instagram for prompt updates.
