Boston-raised Los Angeles-based artist Lucy Frost is an exciting newcomer in the alt-pop scene. The singer-songwriter’s style leans into dark-pop; Lucy got to exhibit that captivating sound on her latest single, “Lines”.
The new track was produced by Charlotte Reed alongside Mosaic, who handled mixing and mastering.
“Lines” is such a gripping tune, one that blends various influences, including rock and synthpop. It also showcases the artist’s amazing vocal range.
“‘Lines’ sonically captures the chaotic spiral of someone who just witnessed their ex with someone new for the first time,” Frost shares. “That gnawing need to tell the next person about them, the intrusive thoughts that control us in the moment, the impulsive actions we take that we immediately regret the next day. It’s paranoia while also being neurotic, until we’re forced to face the question: who have I become?”
Lucy is one artist that I’ll definitely be keeping tabs on. So, give “Lines” a listen and follow Lucy Frost on Instagram for more music.
